Music Selection Feedback – OST-Focused Updates
Hello GM Team,
We would like to share detailed feedback regarding the music updates added to MStar Global over the past month.
Recently, the majority of newly added tracks consist of drama OST songs. While OSTs may be enjoyable as listening music, they are generally not suitable for a rhythm-based dance game like MStar due to:
- Low BPM and weak rhythm flow
- Low replay value
- Reduced competitiveness and combo-based gameplay
- Less engagement in multiplayer rooms
As a result, many of these songs are skipped or rarely replayed by players.
MStar’s core identity has always been energetic, rhythm-focused gameplay supported by high-tempo K-pop and global pop tracks. When the music selection shifts heavily toward OSTs, it negatively affects player motivation and long-term engagement.
We respectfully request that future music updates prioritize:
- Dance-friendly, high-BPM tracks
- K-pop or global pop songs with strong rhythm and replay value
- Balanced music updates instead of OST-heavy releases
Examples of artists and styles that fit MStar’s gameplay well include groups such as STAYC, INFINITE, T-ARA, Brave Girls, LOONA, and similar rhythm-oriented tracks.
We truly appreciate the team’s efforts to keep the game updated and hope this feedback can be shared with the relevant departments. Many players would be very happy to see music updates that better reflect MStar’s dance and competitive nature.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards.
